EPIC is Looking for an Imam !
Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,
The East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) is currently seeking a full-time Imam with the following qualifications:
* A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Islamic Studies from a university or reputable source
* Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
* Experience in delivering Jumu’ah khutbah and educational programs to all segments of the community, especially youth
* Ability to present Islam to Muslim Americans as well as people of other faiths
* Good interpersonal skills with experience in or familiarity with family and youth counseling
Located in the heart of the Dallas Metropolitan Area, Plano is considered among the fastest growing and best cities in America. The area is home to a large Muslim community and several full-time Islamic schools.

Narated By 'Abdullah bin Umar : Umar bin Al-Khattab saw a silken dress (cloak) being sold at the gate of the Mosque and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Would that you buy it and wear it on Fridays and when the delegates come to you!" Allah's Apostle said, "This is worn by the one who will have no share in the Hereafter." Later on some silk dresses were brought and Allah's Apostle sent one of them to 'Umar. 'Umar said, "How do you give me this to wear while you said what you said about the dress of 'Utarid?" Allah's Apostle said, "I have not given it to you to wear." So, 'Umar gave it to a pagan brother of his in Mecca.
